It seems like 90% of the bloggers on tumblr who wax philosophical about politics and feminism and other social issues do so while remaining woefully misinformed and stunningly illogical. They keep spouting poorly-articulated, fallacious arguments that their excited-to-be-radical-and-cool followers eat up, and they turn those followers into into disciples of ignorant pop-politics and pop-feminism. And then more and more people repeat these nonsensical “facts” or use half-baked arguments or ascribe to faulty beliefs about what feminism means or how justice works. 

It’s like mindlessly reblogging posts had made people believe it’s cool to just metaphorically and equally mindlessly reblog actual thoughts, opinions, beliefs, etc. Trust me, guys, the thoughts you’re reblogging into your own brains are just as shitty and worthless as the photoshop graphics we’re all making. 

It’s not even about people disagreeing with my own beliefs. I want people to disagree with me and make some fucking sense while they do it. Be a credible proponent of your own beliefs. Check your facts. Be informed. Don’t contradict yourself. Question what you’re told. Question yourself. Don’t make yourself into a hypocrite, especially not in the next sentence. Understand what you’re crusading for. Listen more than you rant.
